Approach

Multi-channel digital payment platform

The challenge

  • A public-sector institution in West Africa required a digital payment architecture capable of simplifying how individuals and organisations make institutional payments.

  • The ecosystem involved multiple participant types and payment channels, including individuals, employers, banks and mobile money providers.

  • The challenge was not simply to provide an online payment screen. The institution needed an orchestration layer capable of connecting channels, payment providers, transaction processing, confirmation, reconciliation and reporting.

The operating model

UNIPHI designed a multi-channel payment-gateway architecture capable of supporting both individual and institutional payment journeys.

A payer initiates the transaction through the relevant digital channel.

UNIPHI orchestrates the payment to the appropriate payment provider, manages transaction status and confirmation, and provides the information required for downstream reconciliation and institutional reporting.
